Rhino Pre-Treat

Description:

Rhino-PreTreat is a pre-treatment product for supporting, preparing, cleaning and promoting adhesion to a variety of surfaces prior to priming, coating, painting, and filling. It is an ideal and critical pre-treatment step prior to doing your permanent wood repair.

Rhino- PreTreat cleans wood : pH stabilizes wood and promotes adhesion to wood. It has been used to
pre-treat wood surfaces and concrete prior to your application of coatings, stains, paints and sealers. The
use of Rhino-PreTreat can extend the life of coatings two to three-fold.

Rhino-PreTreat is an excellent wood-stabilizing treatment for severely water exposed wood or flood damaged wood. Following the application of Rhino-PreTreat (and your wood is completely dry), paint or
coatings can be applied.

The Rhino Wood Repair® system is a complete system that cleans, treats, conserves and protects your
wood. Rhino-PreTreat contains no solvents and no VOCs.

Uses:
Rhino-PreTreat is the first step used in the Rhino Wood Repair® system for wood rot repair, to make sure the wood is properly prepared prior to a permanent repair.

Properties:
Slowly absorbs into the wood through moisture and will eventually penetrate throughout the wood helping in the Rhino Wood Repair® system maintain structural integrity of lignin.

Protective Barrier:
The Rhino Wood Repair® system provides a protective deterrent/barrier for wood.

Coverage:
coverage is 200-250 sq.ft. per gallon.

Pretreatment of surfaces:
Surfaces being repaired must be dry, clean and sound prior to repairing with Rhino Wood Repair®
system. Prior to the use of Rhino-PreTreat, surfaces may still require sanding, sandblasting, use of
powered grinding tools or scrapers to remove all additional traces of dirt, oil, curing compound, mold
release agent, loose debris and disintegrated materials.

Storage:
Keep containers closed until just before use. It is best to use products at a temperature above 12°C.
Rhino-PreTreat can be applied at lower temperatures, however, absorption and evaporation rates will be
slower.

Caution:
Keep Rhino-PreTreat away from eyes and skin. Avoid breathing of vapors and use good ventilation. Wear
protective clothing, goggles and gloves.

FIRST AID:

Eyes:
Flush immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes and obtain medical aid.

Skin:
Clean skin with warm water and a soft soap. Never use solvents to remove material from skin.

Liquid A&B Technical Data

Description:

Our structural liquid A and B system is 100% solids containing no solvents or no VOCs having a room
temperature cure, slow gel time epoxy to be used in conjunction with our putty A and B system.

Properties

Structural Bond: Provides a permanent structural bond between putty and wood.P
Petrifying Properties: Petrifies any loose or weakened wood during the repair process returning structural integrity.
Protective Coating: Provides a protective water-proof coating to enhance water-resistance of any exposed wood.

Pretreatment of surfaces

Surfaces being repaired must be dry, clean and sound. Use sandblasting, needle scalers, a powered grinding tool or scrapers to remove all traces of dirt, oil, curing compound, mold release agent and disintegrated materials.

Mixing

  1. Mix liquid A only with liquid B.
  2. Do not use damaged or leaking containers.
  3. Premix liquid A and liquid B separately. Then place the hardener into the resin container according to the required 100:100 mixing ratio.
  4. Blend the liquid A and liquid B thoroughly using a stir stick by hand or paddle attached to a low speed heavy duty electric drill at 300-600 rpm. Continue to mix for a minimum of 2-3 minutes or until the mix becomes homogeneous.
  5. Never dilute with solvents.

Cleaning of tools

Tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use Lysol.

Storage

Keep containers closed until just before use at a temperature above 15°C.

Caution

Keep liquid A and liquid B away from eyes and skin. Avoid breathing of vapors and use good ventilation. Like any reactive material, uncured resin and hardener may irritate sensitive skin. Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves.

Description:

Our structural putty A and putty B system is 100% solids containing no solvents or no VOCs having a room temperature cure, slow gel time epoxy to be used in conjunction with our liquid A and B system.

Properties

Structural: Provides a permanent structural repair to wood.
Other Properties: Easy to shape, sculpt, sand, paint, stain, nail, screw for a permanent water-proof repair.
Protective: Provides a protective water-proof repair preventing further rot and repair to any exposed wood.
